The Isle of Skye is just over an hour’s drive and one of the most beautiful roads in Scotland taking you through the Kintail mountain range. En route is Eileen Donan Castle, which is worth a visit, as is the beautiful coastal village Plockton. You’ll be spoilt for choice for activities on your doorstep including salmon fishing, walking, climbing, pony trekking, golf and so much more.
