In utter peace and quiet with just the wildlife for company this is a Yes retreat from the stresses of life.. All on the Ground Floor:
Living room: Freeview TV, Open Fire
Kitchen: Breakfast Area, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher
Utility Room: Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.. Front garden with sitting out area and garden furniture. Fly fishing on-site. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note:This property has a natural water supply via spring.. This charming and utterly secluded traditional lodge sits in splendid isolation just 5 miles up the private road through Glen Tilt, an area of majestic natural beauty and peace. Formerly a shepherd’s cottage, it is a perfect base for those wishing to get away from it all, yet not too far from civilisation. Walking, fishing, and wildlife spotting are available in abundance with the river Tilt running alongside the cottage, and several Munros (hills over 3000ft) are within a day’s hike. Angling enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the salmon fishing available seasonally on the River Tilt, and for non-anglers, the sight of these fish as they make their way upstream to spawn is a spectacle. Please note, to further add to the sense of peace there is no TV signal but there is WIFI and a TV with a DVD player.
Blair Castle has been the home of the Atholl family for over seven centuries. The castle has had a diverse history, witnessing both turbulent and peaceful times, enlarged and adapted over 750 years. Atholl Estates has 145,000 acres of hills, woodlands and open countryside just waiting to be explored. Recognised as an area of natural beauty with plenty to see and do, the estate was admitted into the Cairngorms National Park in 2010. Explore Atholl Estates with over 50 miles of waymarked walking and cycling routes, alongside other activities such as our Luxury Highland Pony Picnics and Beaver Tours. Lodge guests have free entry to BLAIR CASTLE for the duration of their stay and access to all the leisure and recreation facilities available on the estate and nearby. We’re fortunate to have a wide variety of good quality shopping, entertainment, and activities all within convenient reach.
