Step into a piece of Shoals history. Originally built in the 1940s, this beautifully renovated craftsman-style cottage blends timeless charm with modern comfort — and puts you right in the heart of everything Florence has to offer, with close proximity to the University of North Alabama (UNA) and McFarland park.

With two bedrooms and two baths, the cottage is the perfect home base whether you`re here for a weekend getaway, a fishing tournament on the Tennessee River, or soaking up the legendary music culture that made this region famous. The Shoals has given the world more hit records than almost anywhere else on earth, and you can feel that creative energy the moment you arrive.

Location is everything here. Stroll to some of Florence`s best restaurants or take a short drive to downtown`s shops, galleries, and live music venues. The University of North Alabama campus is just minutes away, and McFarland Park — one of the region`s premier fishing tournament hubs — is right around the corner. History lovers will appreciate being close to both the W.C. Handy Birthplace Museum, celebrating the Father of the Blues, and the stunning Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Rosenbaum House.

Inside, you`ll find all-new furnishings, a fully stocked coffee bar complete with an espresso machine, and starter provisions to get you settled in right away. When the day winds down, head outside to your private oasis. Fire up the gas grill, gather around the fire pit, and let the Alabama evening do the rest.

Fishing Tournament on Pickwick Lake? The Cottage on College is located 1.5 miles from the boat ramp at McFarland Park. There is enough room in the driveway for your boat and outdoor outlets to use for charging batteries. Make the Cottage your place to stay for a tournament!

The Cottage on College St. isn`t just a place to sleep. It`s a place to arrive.

Guests will have the entire house and backyard oasis to themselves.
