Welcome to Bernina, your storybook A-frame escape tucked into the pines near Lake Arrowhead’s coveted North Bay, Meadow Bay, and Blue Jay Bay. From the moment you arrive, the cabin’s warm Edison lighting—glowing inside and out—sets the tone for slow mornings, cozy nights, and that perfectly “mountain curated” feel.

Inside, settle into the living room where a buttery leather sectional faces the fireplace and TV—ideal for post-lake lounging, movie nights, or a glass of wine while the fire crackles. The dining area and fully equipped kitchen keep things easy, whether you’re cooking a full dinner or loading up snacks for the day, with extra barstool seating at the counter for casual bites and conversation.

Upstairs, the cabin turns playful: a cozy lounge + game area with a foosball table, comfy seating, a big TV, and a kid-approved tent that makes little adventurers feel right at home.

Step out onto the large, tree-wrapped deck for a true mountain reset—plenty of seating, an outdoor dining setup for open-air meals, and a sense of privacy you’ll feel the second you exhale. Add in comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, plus in-home laundry and parking, and Bernina checks every box for an easy Lake Arrowhead getaway.

When you’re ready to explore, you’re close to the best of the area—lake days, Blue Jay bites, and nearby mountain adventures like SkyPark at Santa’s Village for year-round outdoor fun. In winter, hit the slopes at Snow Valley Mountain Resort, about a ~22-minute drive from Lake Arrowhead.

AvantStay provides a personalized hospitality experience to elevate your stay. With our Concierge Service, guests have access to our tech-enabled services like fridge stocking, private chefs, massages, transportation, special occasion celebrations, baby gear rentals, ski gear, beach gear, and more. Known as "The Alps of Southern California," the beautiful Lake Arrowhead is a well-kept secret, even from California natives. The quaint, European-style Lake Arrowhead Village makes a good place to pass your days, but visitors most often spend their time delighting in the area's outdoor activities. Water skiing on the lake, fishing, and ATV riding are all popular pastimes in summer, while in winter, snow sports fanatics can get their fill of skiing on the local slopes. Whatever time of the year you visit, the temperate climate and numerous opportunities for adventure ensure a fun time for all.
