Other Special Policies
In this area, Asian beetles are sometimes released by aircraft over the forest to help control pine beetles that damage the pine trees. This usually happens about once a year, and during that time it’s possible to see higher numbers of them around the cabin or occasionally indoors.

Nature & Environment
One of the most memorable parts of staying in a Broken Bow cabin is being surrounded by nature. Because this property is located in a wooded setting, guests may encounter wildlife and seasonal elements during their stay.

Deer, squirrels, raccoons, and turkeys are commonly seen throughout the area. The cabin is professionally treated for pests, though occasional insects such as spiders, beetles, ladybugs, or wasps may still appear, particularly during seasonal transitions or rain.

During spring months, pollen from surrounding pine trees may collect on outdoor surfaces despite cleaning efforts before arrival.

Keeping doors and screens closed whenever possible helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout your stay.

We encourage guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while remaining respectful of neighboring cabins and the natural environment. Sound travels easily throughout the forested area.
