Red River Rockhouse — Campton. One of my top choices: burgers, burritos, salads and local ingredients. Casual, very “Red River Gorge.” Currently open Thursday–Sunday.
* RedPoint Barbeque — Campton/Rogers area. Excellent choice for a nicer dinner: smoked meats, catfish, hot chicken, cocktails and a scenic patio. Current rating is 4.8/5.
* Hop’s — Campton. Farm-to-table style food with a patio/beer-garden atmosphere. Good option for guests who want something a little different.
* Sky Bridge Station — Pine Ridge/RRG. Burgers, sandwiches, drinks and a laid-back porch atmosphere. Great after hiking around Sky Bridge.
* Miguel’s Pizza — Slade. The classic Red River Gorge experience. Pizza, breakfast and a fun climber/outdoor atmosphere. It’s been a Gorge institution since the 1980s.
* La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant — Slade. Mexican food, fajitas, burritos, margaritas and patio seating.
* Thatcher Barbecue Company — Slade. BBQ, ribs, burgoo and other hearty Kentucky-style food.
* Toad’s BARn and Grill — Stanton/RRG area. Burgers, wings, pizza, full bar and live music; their site confirms they’re open for the 2026 season.
* Giovanni’s Pizza — Frenchburg. One of the closer, easy options when guests don’t want to drive toward the Gorge.
* Trademart — Frenchburg. Very casual/local option with pizza and hot food; useful for takeout.
