This is an incredibly spacious apartment as there are only 2 of us! It’s clean, comfortable, very well equipped and well decorated. Its location is in a street with plenty of really good options for restaurants and bars and it is a very short walk to the edge of the river. There are multiple ways to get over to the old town which is very close. The bananas, apples and well stocked tea and coffee were are lovely welcome.
This is only a temporary situation but there are extensive street works going on outside. The work starts at 7.30am and is noisy. It would have been nice to be warned about this. Once the work is complete it is going to be gorgeous.

The location was excellent, the street is just a few meters from the river. There are supermarkets within 3 minutes walk. The buses and trams are at the top of the road which easily connects to everywhere in Basel. It takes 10 mins by tram to reach the main railway station. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. The beds were soft and comfortable. They are not hard at all...The most comfortable beds I have slept in.
Unfortunately there is a lot of building work going on in the street. The building works begin early in the morning. The windows are very good at keeping the noise out, and not every morning was it noisy, but there is a lot of disruption along this road at the time of writing this review.
