Azula Aquatico Cabanah Resort

We absolutely loved our stay! Since Azula is still very new and had limited reviews/photos, we were initially a little nervous to book, but the property is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with great AC, Wi-Fi, complimentary water/coffee, and a nice private porch. The location was probably our favorite part — only about 5 minutes from the main road and 15–20 minutes from Siquijor Port, but tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and almost like a private little resort. It was never crowded during our stay, which made it feel very intimate. The pool and sunsets were beautiful, the restaurant food and drinks were great, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They’re still adding decor and finishing touches, so we’re excited to see how the property develops because it’s already so nice!

Only minor things, especially considering how new the resort is. More privacy/tinting on the room windows would be nice, and the water pressure in the shower and sink was sometimes inconsistent. The pool area can get very slippery when wet, and some edges inside the pool are quite sharp. Also, because of the tropical/open design, bugs can occasionally get inside and outside sounds can be heard clearly. There are neighboring homes, so we could sometimes hear people or smell cooking/smoke from the bathroom. None of these significantly affected our stay, but they’re worth knowing.

Fantastic swimming pool with an awesome view on the sea, food is great and location is perfect to explore the island! The owner is a fantastic person!

No hairdryer in the room and the showers were not really efficient (low pressure). A mosquito net on the window should be added. Little details that might take this resort to the next level!
