I had missed the shuttle to Hanoi and was able to book place instantly for a very cheap price. They have a friendly staff with a great location. The homestay is in a quiet area but close to town, right on the river and a mountain view. My wife and I were able to rent bikes there for cheap and rode to a few temples around. The manager gave us free drinks and let us stay and swim after we checked out
It is such a nice place, my wife and I wanted to stay a a little longer and do a late-checkout, but a 2-hour late checkout is 50% of the room price.

Relatively new hotel so still clean and « fresh », comfortable beds, calm area and 5mn walk from the main road. The men at the welcome desk is doing his best to make your stay pleasant
Hotel not fully « finished » small details everywhere painting, cables… the roof top with an amazing view cannot be used properly for a drink or anything else. Nobody in the staff speaks a word of English, google translate will be your friend. The hotel can be really really noisy if customers are not diligent enough or just kids in the swimming pool. I would recommend not to take the breakfast option, very poor comparing to what you can find 5/10mn walks.
