The Space:

This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment comfortably hosts up to 2 guests in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Castellana Gardens, Carolina — just minutes from San Juan's airport. The bedroom features a plush queen bed, ideal for a couple or solo traveler settling in for a few nights or a longer remote-work stretch.



The apartment is equipped with air conditioning throughout and fast WiFi, making it an easy base for video calls or catching up on email between trips. A dedicated parking spot is included right on the property, so there's no circling the block after a long flight.



At about 500 square feet, the space is compact by design — efficient, low-maintenance, and easy to settle into, whether you're here for one night before an early flight or a few weeks working remotely.



Electricity Management



Please be aware that utility interruptions are common throughout Puerto Rico. Since power grid failures are an island-wide issue beyond our control, our property cannot be held responsible for unexpected blackouts.

While we do not have a backup power system on-site, we recommend keeping your personal devices charged whenever power is available and exercising caution during any outages.



Water Supply



Water service interruptions can occur across the island without prior notice, often due to country-wide water rationing measures managed by local authorities. As these outages stem from municipal infrastructure and government rationing, they are entirely outside our responsibility as an accommodation.

Because our property does not have backup water tanks, we will provide bottled water for your stay, with the quantity determined based on the length of your stay and the number of guests.



Hurricane and Storm Policy



While we strive to provide a safe and comfortable stay, we cannot control nature or municipal utility failures.

Refunds: No refunds of any kind will be issued for weather-related causes or general utility outages in Puerto Rico.

Flexibility: In the event of a named atmospheric phenomenon, we offer the option to reschedule your stay, subject to calendar availability.



Guest Access:

You'll have full access to the entire apartment, as well as the property's shared amenities and common areas. Check-in is self-service via a keypad lock, with your personal code and directions sent ahead of arrival. A dedicated parking spot is included on-site.



The Neighborhood:

Castellana Gardens is a quiet, residential neighborhood in Carolina, Puerto Rico — just minutes from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and a short drive from the beaches and nightlife of Isla Verde. It's an easy, low-key base: closer to daily errands and a good night's sleep than to the tourist crowds, but never far from either.



- Parque Julia de Burgos — a local park good for a walk (with your pet, if you're traveling with one), a few minutes away

- Isla Verde Beach — about a 10-minute drive, for a beach afternoon without leaving the metro area

- Old San Juan — historic forts, cobblestone streets and the Paseo de la Princesa, about 25 minutes by car



For a bite nearby, guests recommend:

- Restaurante Castellana — Puerto Rican comfort food right in the neighborhood (4.6★)

- Plaza del Marisco — seafood a short drive away (4.8★)

Getting Around:

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) is about 8 minutes away by car, making this an easy first or last stop on a Puerto Rico trip. Uber operates reliably throughout the Carolina/San Juan metro area, including 24/7 pickup at the airport, and is a solid option if you're not renting a car. A rental car gives the most flexibility for day trips to Old San Juan or El Yunque National Forest (about 40 minutes away), and local taxis are also available on request.

Arrival & Departure

- Check-in begins at 4:00 PM local time.

- Checkout is at 11:00 AM local time.

- To ensure a smooth arrival for incoming guests, please honor the checkout time.

- Unauthorized late checkouts will incur an additional fee.

- The reservation must be booked by a legal adult; children are welcome to stay as part of the group.

Online Check-In and Verification

- Once you complete your online check-in, you'll receive the instructions to access the property.

- A simple rental agreement ensures clarity and ease; by completing your reservation you agree to our rental terms and conditions.

- To meet legal and building security requirements, you may be asked to provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact info, complete our verification portal and, in some cases, a background check. This information is collected only for screening/verification purposes and is not stored or used otherwise.



Utilities & Weather in Puerto Rico

- Electricity Management: Due to the energy situation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, power outages can occur from time to time. This property does not have a backup generator. During an outage, we recommend keeping devices charged in advance and being mindful of perishable food.

- Water Supply: This property does not have a backup water tank. In the event of a water service interruption, we recommend using water sparingly until service is restored.

- Extended Outages: If an outage lasts more than 3 hours and you choose to stay, you may request a refund for the affected nights. If you'd prefer to cancel the remainder of your stay, you may request a refund for the unused nights.

- Hurricane & Storm Policy: We want your stay to be safe, but weather is out of our control. No refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations; however, in the event of a storm, we're happy to help you reschedule, subject to calendar availability.
