For those looking to venture further, Wellow is perfectly positioned near some of Nottinghamshire’s best attractions. Start your adventure with a visit to Sherwood Forest (5 miles away), where families can enjoy tree climbing, rope walking, and cycle routes through the legendary home of Robin Hood. For a more relaxed outing, Rufford Abbey (3 miles) offers peaceful lakeside walks and children’s play areas, and for golfers Rufford Park Golf and Country Club is around the corner. If history and culture are of interest, Newark (12 miles) provides a fascinating day out with engaging museums and Newark Castle, rich in Civil War history, afterwhich afternoon tea in historic Southwell (10 miles) will hit the spot.
Step into this delightful cottage, situated overlooking the village green and maypole, and feel instantly at home. The welcoming hallway leads to a well-equipped kitchen perfect for preparing a delicious family breakfast or testing your culinary skills. Adjoining the kitchen is a very useful utility room, which accommodates a separate WC. The very cosy front living room offers a spacious corner sofa just waiting for you to curl up on. With the wood burner lit and a good film on the TV/DVD player, perhaps enjoying a friendly game of cards or a competitive board game, or even simply reading a book from the shelf, this room provides all you need to unwind and relax. The property also benefits from a lounge/diner with formal dining table to celebrate that special occasion at, a comfortable sofa and armchair on which to while away the evening in front of the TV. On sunnier days, retreat to the conservatory, where comfortable seating and garden views provide the perfect spot to relax with a good book or a morning coffee. Outside, you'll find a large private garden with a mature lawn and offering plenty of space for the whole family to play, relax, and enjoy the fresh air. For extra fun, the garage has been transformed into a games room, complete with a pool table and football table, perfect for some friendly competition. There's also secure bike storage, making it easy to explore the surrounding countryside on two wheels, and a badminton set for outdoor family fun. The property features a private gated driveway with space for three cars, ensuring secure and hassle-free parking during your stay.
