A sturdy dining table sits adjacent to the kitchen, which boasts all the amenities you’ll need, including a microwave and a dishwasher. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor – a double and a family room – sharing a bathroom. Head to the first floor to find the king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower tucked into the eaves. Little ones can work off excess energy in the garden where there’s a small play area for them to enjoy. There is a range of outdoor seating, so you’re sure to find the perfect spot for a morning coffee or to simply enjoy the view. Access to the cottage is via a shared driveway, and you’ll have private parking for two cars.

The cottage sits about 1 mile from the village of Mathry, where you’ll find a friendly pub and a shop, while Abercastle (2 miles) has a sheltered beach to enjoy. Stroll the coast path towards the west and you’ll come across (with a small detour) the ancient burial chamber Carreg Samson and the harbour at Porthgain beyond. This area boasts stunning scenery with much to discover, including Strumble Head Lighthouse, the Blue Lagoon and – if you fancy a change – the coastal town of Fishguard is 6.5 miles away.
