In the woods with a mere two block walk to Haystack Rock one way or town the other way - made it a perfect location. The house was also very quiet. Great for sleeping. And the elks parading by were a treat.

This is my third time staying at Haystack Hideaway. Such a great location. Walking distance to everything making for an easy-going, convenient, relaxed vacation.
If you are looking for high-end luxury, this is not your place. This is more along the lines of well-loved, rustic-cottage feel in the forest where you feel completely removed from the rest of the world. The carpet is old, much of the furniture is outdated, but serviceable, and it all works to create a quiet hideaway if that’s what you are looking for.
I’ll be back again!

As a family of six, we are always looking for affordable lodging. We had booked this home before and felt comfortable doing it again. There are many updates that could be done. The beds were comfortable. Beautiful setting, plenty of room for everyone, basic amenities. Be sure to pack toilet paper and garbage bags as you are supplied with a minimal amount.
