The Skyframe is just one of 5 luxurious tiny homes that make up Littlefield Retreat, a tranquil woodland village of 3 treehouses and 2 hobbit houses. To see all five dwellings, search on Sanford, Maine and use the map function. This 15-acre forest retreat, situated on Littlefield Pond in Springvale, Maine, offers our guests an experience that feels like a trip up to the woods of northern Maine, but is closer to home and to all the attractions of southern Maine. Each of Littlefield Retreat’s vacation homes is unique, but all 5 offer our guests the seclusion of three wooded acres, a private hot tub, patio, and fire ring, as well as your own dock and canoe on Littlefield Pond.
Find peace and delight among the trees in The Skyframe, one of Littlefield Retreat’s luxurious and eco-friendly tiny homes offering a unique getaway experience with all the comforts you need for a delightful stay. Soak in your private hot tub. Sunbathe or paddle a canoe from your own dock on Littlefield Pond. At night, gather with friends and loved ones around your private fire ring or gaze at the astonishing number of stars twinkling in the sky over the pond. In addition to amenities like a fully appointed kitchen, comfy queen-sized beds in the bedroom and loft, and a cozy fireplace, the Canopy treehouse surrounds you with unparalleled beauty. Spotlighted in Conde Nast Traveler, DownEast, and GQ magazines, this luxurious treehouse features a spacious covered deck, live-edge woodwork, an enormous set of picture windows, and a lovely perched view of Littlefield Pond.

For example, guests who drive an EV or plug-in hybrid can charge their vehicles at a Level 2 charger right on the property. Other eco-friendly elements are less visible but just as essential to the our vision: many recycled and reclaimed materials were used in the construction, and the energy that powers the ultra-efficient heating and hot water you enjoy comes from a dedicated solar farm off-site, making Littlefield Retreat’s five boutique tiny homes entirely carbon neutral.

Great 3 night stay. The Sky Frame was exactly as advertised and was “magical” according to our teen. Quiet, calming, surrounded by nature. Even a rainstorm felt beautiful. Loved the decor and the simple, thoughtful touches throughout. Hot tub was an amazing amenity in addition to the pond access. Spent time fishing and canoeing. Such a great, special getaway.

My niece and I were super excited before we even got there, and upon arrival were saying things like “Is this even real?!” As to say, I can believe we are staying here!! Loved the simple, yet elegant decor. We enjoyed the quiet sunset on the pond, while the fireflies danced on our arms. We ended the day relaxing to our favorite songs in the hot tub, and had a couple s’mores in the fire pit. The next morning, I brewed my coffee, and headed to the dock where I startled a couple of deer in the woods on the way! The water was so still, and boy did my coffee taste even better! Truly a little slice of heaven on Littlefield Pond, and we felt so lucky to have been able to enjoy it for the night! Have already shared the link with 4 friends:)
