The former harbour at Hartland Quay (19 miles) has rugged cliffs and dramatic rock formations, while a similar distance south, Tintagel is famous for its iconic castle, inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur. Stop en route at Boscastle (13 miles) – the village’s beautiful harbour is steeped in history while inland, the Valency Valley is one of the few wooded areas in North Cornwall.
