Karakoy Hotel De La Chapella

The location is great in the centre of Karaoke with easy access to restaurants, bars and public transport. The staff was just awesome; caring and very helpful

The breakfast is served on the sixth floor without a lift 😅 and I was expecting a place as cosy and full of charm as the café on the ground floor. They definitely can do better

Location and size of the room were great.

If you provide a mini-kitchen, there should be ample crockery and utensils to serve it. And the dishwasher should have power. There’s also no point having a TV in the room if there’s no WiFi signal to display any show.

This is a small, quaint hotel in an old historic building, but with modern amenities, so you get the best of both worlds. I loved my room, it was clean and comfortable, with very unique decor. Great location, it’s near the port and walkable to the old city. The lane the hotel is on is very quiet, but the crowded, lively streets are also not too far away. Lots of food options nearby, excellent local specialty cafes, and had a good combination of local and touristy restaurants. The staff was also excellent, and overall I had a very relaxed stay.

At night, you can hear the soft thumping bass from the night club nearby. The AC drowns most of it out though. A few small amenities would have made my stay more comfortable, like a shelf in the shower (so I wouldn’t have had to put my toiletries on the floor), and hooks/hangers that weren’t placed 2m off the ground so I could hang my stuff more comfortably.

Friendly staff. Good location.

This property is on 5 floors with no elevator. This needs to be made clear on booking.com because an elderly or disabled person could not access the rooms. We were on the 5th floor.
