Couldn't stay here as it was not as advertised.

When booking, we liked the value, location and that it was pet friendly.

We did not end up staying here. Owner is double-booking this small, 2-bedroom/1-bath house. In multiple places in their listing on the Booking.com website they indicate that 'the entire place is yours'. Well, the entire place apparently is 'yours' and someone else's - at least in our situation. We were only informed of this on the day of our arrival when we contacted the owner to arrange for entry. We reserved/paid to have the whole house (that's what was offered online - not a single bedroom in the house) plus the time for cancelling 'free of charge' had passed. Staying with a stranger and this whole situation was extremely unacceptable. We were left, on the Friday of a holiday weekend (7/3/26), having to scramble & try and find another accommodation. We were barely successful and ended up incurring over double the costs in what we were able to find. Booking.com was good about ultimately cancelling our reservation with Open Arms and refunding our money for that stay - hence the '1' rating. The online listing is still there and offers 'the entire house is yours' per the reservation. All we can say is 'renter be aware'. Edit: Oh wait, some parts of the listing now show the owner offering each bedroom separately for rent, but other parts are still showing 'the entire house is yours'?? Very questionable. Would still caution anyone renting/reserving to 'be aware'.
