The Moosetide Hotel

This was one of the highlights of our vacation to Alaska. We loved Homer and we really loved Moosetide Hotel. Checking in was a fun time in itself getting recommendations on the area and what to do. We were upgraded to the suite (thank you!) and wow! it was nice. Beautiful room...excellent hospitality...plenty of options nearby. Easily a top notch stay.

Absolutely EVERYTHING! From the owners to the staff and the whole property was just so perfect! The esthetic’s was definitely a vibe and more to come. This cute little place is by far my favorite stay here in Alaska! They have a coffee bar with all different kinds of flavorings syrups. Biscuits and even a tray with some sleep masks and ear plugs. There was a room I don’t remember what it’s called so let’s call it the community room. It had a fridge and microwave and random things for all guests to use. I could go on and on about this place but you really have to just check it out. Yall will absolutely love it! Promise • Close to the SPIT • Other great near by restaurants • Bars everywhere you turn your head (for the drinker)

Nothing….. our heater went out in the middle of the night and Angie came back with a portable heater for us!

The hotel is newly refurbished and everything is new and clean. It is a boutique hotel so the room was not big but there was space and lamps on both sides of the queen bed and one easy chair. No closet but plenty of hooks for clothes. There was an electric kettle in the room and shared refrigerator and a microwave on the main floor. The entrance had the feel of being in a cozy living room. There were coffee table and other books and games could be checked out. The owners were very friendly and helpful with advice for places to eat, hike and so on.
