Great location near start of the hike. Staff were friendly allowed me to hire a transportation to and from border as roads were not good only 4x4 vehicle could be used. I hired a guide, cook, donkey, tent, sleeping bag, mat and food for hike in Fann Mountains. Compared to other travel agencies not bad value for money 3 day hike just over 1,000 USD though payable in cash USD or Tajikistan currency. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was provided. Go before September for the hike because late September snow blocked the pass and meant I couldn't complete the hike.
There was only one toilet and shower for each sex for all guests. They need to build a new toilet and shower block. There were lots of old buildings surrounding perhaps those could be renovated. Bring lots of USD cash to hire everything for the hike they wanted payment in cash as card machine not working.
