The owner, Pete, purchased the location in the spring of 2026 qnd completely renovated the motel property and all of the rooms. His attention to detail and aesthetics have made this motel a safe bet for a pleasurable and comfortable stay. Although very small, our room was in imacculate condition, with a very comfortable king size bed, small refrigerator, 40" television and tiny, but very clean bathroom. We attended a concert at Tanglewood, which was an easy 20 minute drive down the same road as the Berkshire Lake Lodge. The location is very close to the Massachusetts Turnpike so there is some noise from that, but it wasn't very loud, and it didn't disturb our sleep. The motel sits beside a scenic lake and there are kayaks, a fire pit and a gas barbecue grill available for guests at no extra charge. I really couldn't expect more from this unpretentious, independently owned motel.
