The 'Quartiere Santo Stefano' is quiet and beautiful (and safe). It is in the heart of Bologna hystorical centre, within walking distance from Piazza Santo Stefano, Due Torri, Piazza Maggiore. Very close toGiardini Margherita. All kind of shops and bars nearby, and also some antiques and art galleries. It is not the 'movida' area, but you'll find anything you need within 5 minutes walk. Well, Bologna is not so big... Several bus lines go down via Santo Stefano, Viali, and via Murri. Honestly, parking can be an issue. But with a little patience you'll find a 'hole' (as we say, un buco). From the airport, you can get a taxi (or the people mover and then another bus to Porta Santo Stefano.
