There’s something different about staying in a place that lets you slow down without feeling removed from everything around you. River Suite on Washington is designed for couples or solo travelers who want a comfortable home base while exploring one of the most interesting small cities on the Hudson.

The apartment feels private the moment you arrive. Light fills the space, the river sits just beyond view, and the elevated deck gives you a place to sit with a coffee or a glass of wine while the day moves at its own pace. It’s simple in the best way. Comfortable, quiet, and exactly what you need after a day out in town.

Mornings start slowly here. Step outside onto the deck and take in the view of the Hudson before the street below fully wakes up. Make breakfast in the kitchen, plan the day, or decide not to plan anything at all. The space isn’t meant to keep you busy. It’s meant to give you somewhere to return to.

Downtown Newburgh is an easy walk and worth it. Liberty Street has the kind of energy most places try to manufacture but rarely get right. Restored storefronts, independent galleries, serious coffee, and restaurants that feel like they belong here. Follow the waterfront promenade past the historic train station, Hudson Taco, and the docks where the Pride of the Hudson runs scenic cruises through the Hudson Highlands. Evenings often end at Newburgh Brewing Company or at Blu Pointe, watching the sun set over the river.

And then you come back.
The deck’s quiet. The lights are low. The space feels exactly the way you hoped it would.

River Suite on Washington is a private one-bedroom apartment with its own entrance, full bathroom, kitchen, and living space, ideal for couples or solo travelers looking for a relaxed stay with easy access to everything Newburgh has to offer.

Guests needing more space can also reserve the full property as Artisan on Washington, which includes the main house together with the apartment for a total of up to six guests.
