Spend slow mornings under the blooming Poinciana tree, picnic in the shade, or let the kids run free on the wide, sun-kissed lawn. Wander a few steps down the path and you’ll find yourself on one of the island’s most spectacular sandy beaches—soft sand, azure blue water, and unbelievably close.
Tucked into the lush garden community of Hā‘ena, Hale Ho’olapanai places you moments from world-class snorkeling at Tunnels (Makua) Beach, the island’s gorgeous wet and dry caves, and the iconic trailhead and golden curve of Ke‘e Beach. It’s a place where modern comfort meets timeless Hawai‘i… and where every day ends with salt on your skin and the sound of the ocean drifting through the palms.

This is a great house in a great location in Haena. The amenities were as advertised: spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen and grill were exceptionally well-equipped. A great selection of games in case it rains. It's less than 60 seconds to walk to the beach, and we had a fantastic time swimming and snorkeling there. If you like a idyllic, lush, green, seaside retreat with a family of 4, you can't go wrong here.

The cottage is a beautiful jewel box, just steps from the most gorgeous beaches on the island. The home has just been completely re-done, and it is out of the pages of a magazine. Every detail from the spa-like bathroom, to the super comfortable beds, luxury linens and towels, to the high-end kitchen appliances, is brand new and beautiful. There are yoga mats, and beach chairs, and umbrellas - every detail is so thoughtful.The location is perfect - tucked in a peaceful neighborhood just 10 mins from Hanalei.We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back - highly recommend!

Great location in Wainiha just off the beach. The cottage is very well stocked with extras of everything. It’s very clean and super comfortable. The Management Team was friendly and helpful with all pre-arrival questions.

This is a quaint house in a great location, with lots of kitchen gadgets. As others have said, the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way to the ceiling, so it is best for one couple, maybe with some young kids-- when one person has lights on, or is talking, everyone will see/hear them. Even though it is only a few minute walk to the beach, of course you don't get that "right on the beach" feeling.
One reason I chose this house were the many reviews that noted how clean it was. However, while the house was superficially clean, it needs a deep cleaning—lots of insects, dust, etc. near the walls, behind the beds etc. Outdoor furniture very dirty; we cleaned the table so we could use it. Some of the linens in the closet were clean, but in many cases smelly. Most of the dishes in the cabinets were not very clean especially when we got behind the front row.
Our contact Joanne was very attentive in setting up our visit, and when we left, I sent her an email about the need for a deep cleaning, and she immediately thanked us and said she would talk to the team. So, could just be a one time oversight.
