This is a hard one to rate. The check-in process was terrible as it took 2 hours (yes, hours) to gain access to the cabin. There is not enough room here to go into all of that, but I would be happy to provide detailed info to the management company about it. Due to the complications I do wonder if I was speaking with an answering service instead of an actual employee.Now for the cabin. I could tell it had received a basic cleaning but it needs a deep clean. There were a lot of large spiderwebs (I get it's in a forest but it takes a few seconds to knock webs down with a broom.), the tops of fan blades were so dirty that when we turned them on particles fell off (black stuff on the top of the upstairs bed), and there were crumbs on the table. Not a big deal, but still would be nice to clean it up. However, the cabin needs some repairs. Perhaps this is the reason for the discounted pricing. Almost all the cabinet doors and drawers stick, the 2 ceiling fans downstairs would not turn on, the dishwasher worked but seemed to be in bad shape, the upstairs bedroom door would not stay shut, and the toilet seat downstairs was loose (my husband attempted to fix and got old pee on his hand due to poor cleaning). This could be a great cabin with a few fixes. Just FYI though, the mountain view is of the area of the mountain you are on as trees block the view. Not a bad thing, just don't expect sweeping views of the smokies. I did enjoy relaxing on the porch after I cleaned it.
