Haus Figaro – Family Vacation in a Quiet Location Near Lake Wangermeer

Welcome to Haus Figaro—a cozy semi-detached home in a quiet residential neighborhood in Hohenkirchen, just a few minutes’ walk from Lake Wangermeer. With plenty of space, a fenced-in yard, and four separate bedrooms, the house offers the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation with the whole family—including your dog.

On the first floor, a bright entryway welcomes you, leading to both the guest restroom and the spacious living and dining area. Here, a cozy sofa and a large dining table invite you to enjoy relaxing evenings—whether over a good meal or a fun game night. The living area offers direct access to the covered patio and the fully fenced-in garden with a grill—ideal for relaxing outdoors.
The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a small seating area, is accessible separately and leads to a convenient storage room with a washer-dryer, as well as an additional exit to the outdoors.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: The master bedroom with a double bed, closet, dresser, and TV; another room with two single beds and a closet; and a third room with a single bed, also featuring storage space. The modern bathroom with a shower completes this floor.

A spiral staircase in the upper hallway leads to the converted attic, which is furnished as a fourth bedroom with a cozy double bed and a dresser—perfect for larger families or guests staying over.

Directly in front of the house is a covered carport with a lockable shed for bicycles. The garden is also accessible from the outside via a gate. Please note that only one vehicle can be parked directly at the house; additional vehicles can be parked along the street.

Dogs are welcome at Haus Figaro—a food bowl and water bowl are provided, and the fenced-in garden ensures a safe stay for your four-legged friends. Vacation in Hohenkirchen – Relaxation, Nature, and Plenty of Leisure Fun
The health resort of Hohenkirchen offers everything you need for a thoroughly enjoyable vacation: Shopping options, two bakeries, a pharmacy, and medical care are all located right in town. Thanks to its central location, you can reach the North Sea in just a few minutes by car or bike. The cities of Jever and Wilhelmshaven are also within easy reach and invite you to take a stroll through town or enjoy cultural excursions.

A special highlight for families is the Nordsee-Spielstadt Wangerland—an approximately 5,000 m² indoor amusement park that’s open rain or shine. Here, children and parents can spend an exciting day together, enjoying a roller coaster, chain carousel, bumper cars, climbing area, ship swing, sandbox, toddler play area, and much more. Especially convenient: The admission price includes not only all the rides but also free parking, unlimited fries, ice cream, and hot and cold drinks—ideal for a stress-free family outing in any weather.

Right on your doorstep is also the Wangermeer—an approximately 100-hectare, artificially created recreational lake offering a wide range of activities for nature and water sports enthusiasts. A paved loop trail is perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. For quiet moments by the water, two beaches invite you to sunbathe and swim.

Those who prefer more athletic activities will find plenty to enjoy at the BUHL Activity Park: whether it’s soccer golf, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, wing foiling, wing surfing, or blobbing—action is guaranteed here!

Important for dog owners: Dogs are allowed only on the beach at the BUHL Activity Park.

The health resort of Hohenkirchen (Zone 2) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, age, and length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding prices can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the guest tax:
a) Children up to and including 3 years of age.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Companions of severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance.
