We had excellent communication from the team that run Ciao Termini. As it is not a hotel with an traditional reception desk, clear communication via mobile is crucial. I was able to text via WatsApp with a near instance response each time (and in good clear English). We had arrived early in Rome (as our cruise ship had docked early morning in Civitavecchia) and so we had luggage with us. We were grateful to be allowed to leave our suitcases there before lunch even though our room was not yet ready (check-in time is only from 2pm). This allowed us to go out an explore the local neighbourhood. Although we originally walked from the railway station, we soon discovered that tube line A was relatively close (Manzoni), so location was good with places to eat a few minutes walk away. The room itself was in a converted traditional appartment building that had been modernized, i.e. an elevator installed, excellent air-con, modern shower room tiled with massive carrero blanco tiles, etc. I loved some of the little touches: the beautiful orchid on the desk/table, the excellent DeLonghi expresso maker (supplied with plenty of coffee pods, etc.), plus a kettle for anyone preferring tea. Below the desk was a small fridge with bottles of still and fizzy mineral water (plus there were more bottles if one needed them - and one does need them in Rome's hot summer period!). The room was well lit with light switches on both sides of the double bed, plus charging sockets (USB and 230V) for charging up life's modern essentials like mobiles phones. The on-suite facility was well equipped and even had spare toothbrushes, etc. in the basket. I loved the smell of the shower gel/shampoo. Bed was very comfortable. We didn't watch the TV, but a modern (and decently-sized) TV was available on which one could stream Netflix, etc.

Although there was access to the roof terracce, it wasn't the most appealing place to sit out on. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

Klein, aber fein. Schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Die Korrespondenz lief per WhatsApp und es wurde alles sehr gut erklärt. Bei Fragen bekam man umgehend eine freundliche und hilfreiche Antwort.
