Charming room central Oslo

Great location in Central Oslo. Short walk to station and plenty of food options nearby. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent communication from the host. Great value for $$$$.

Die Lage ist super und sehr zentral. Musste kaum die Öffis nutzen während meines Aufenthalts. Rikard ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er fragte mich mehrmals, ob ich was brauche bzw. ob mir was fehlt!

Mit eigenem schließbarem Zimmer hatte ich jederzeit meine Privatsphäre. Trotzdem fühlte es sich wie in der Studienzeit.

Habitació confortab , neta igual que el bany. Molt ben situada Pots descansar bé perquè hi ha silenci.

Hauria de millorar la separació d’on viu, posar una mampara i no un drap negre. Millor tancament de la porta de l’habitació i del bany per tenir més seguretat.

Hotels in Oslo can be very expensive, so this is a good option if you are comfortable staying in a private room inside the host’s apartment. In my case, I was in Oslo for work and sightseeing, so I mainly needed a place to sleep and take a shower, and it worked perfectly for me. The room was generally quiet. If you keep the window open until around 11 p.m., you may hear people talking outside and the tram passing by, but it became very quiet later at night and I slept very well. The location is excellent, right in central Oslo, with train and bus connections nearby. There are also supermarkets, restaurants and McDonald’s within walking distance. Communication with the host, Rikard, was mainly through WhatsApp, and he was always helpful and responsive. The room has a refrigerator, microwave and kettle. The bathroom, toilet and washing machine are shared, and even laundry detergent was provided. Interestingly, I stayed for five nights without ever meeting the host in person! Still, everything worked smoothly, and I slept very well in this truly “charming room.” I would especially recommend it to solo travelers looking for an affordable stay in central Oslo.

At first, I was a little confused about how to collect the keys. It felt almost like a small treasure hunt! Once I understood the system, though, everything was fine. And unfortunately, I never got to find out whether Rikard himself was as charming as the room — we never actually met!
