Hotel Amber Seaside

I and my wife stayed at this hotel to recharge and take a glimpse of Hulhumale Island's life before our next flight. The staff in this hotel was really attentive and supportive. When there were noisy works on the upper floor, we asked the receptionist to take a break, and the works stopped immediately. The ocean view was really enjoyable. We liked sitting on the balcony drinking coffee and tea, enjoying the ocean, and looking at crawling seaplanes. Our friends, who were travelling with us and were also staying in this hotel, had the fishing excursion offered by this hotel, which was very pleasant for them.

Choosing any hotel on this coast of Hulhumale, you should keep in mind that seaplanes sometimes move quite near and may be noisy. Nevertheless, it's not a problem after sunset.

No cappuccino at the restaurant. However the team was kind enough to arrange it for me

This was an ideal transit stay before my scuba diving liveaboard. The rooms are clean and bright, and the transfer was easy to coordinate and much appreciated. The hotel is also in a walkable area with nearby cafes and shops. The service and staff took this to the next level. Great communication all around. They were also extremely accommodating with early check-in and late checkout as available. Additionally, one of the window shades was broken in my room and when I pointed it out at check-in they brought in a handyman to fix it right there and then. Special thanks to Mohan the manager and Boopathi from housekeeping for a lovely short stay. Would stay again.

Location did not seem safe. Overlooked the sea with a balcony, but the area seemed rough, unclean and unsafe The room and hotel in general was smaller than expected The room didn't feel clean enough with marks and 'bits' all over the floor. Lock on the shower didn't work, the safe didn't work at all and could be removed. Breakfast was a very poor offering. The service was trying to be be over the top welcoming, but I think more focus needs to be put into the hotel itself.
