Singala Hotel Ulaanbaatar

Lovely little brand new hotel

Breakfast was not included

The hotel just recently opened, so everything is new and gorgeous. The bed is extremely comfortable, everyone is very helpful, and the breakfast was ample and delicious. They let me store my cold-weather luggage for almost a week while I went on a tour of the Gobi, which I was very grateful for. The owner speaks excellent English, making communication a breeze (the wife speaks English but her husband does not, so he’ll call her if necessary). This and so many other little things make this hotel a wonderful gem.

The location is great, but it’s a little farther from Sukhbaatar Square than I would have liked (the posting says it’s in the Sukhbaatar district). It’s definitely walkable, with a nice wide sidewalk all the way to the square; I just wished it was a little closer when it started raining! The other thing I didn’t like was that, although they have a restaurant downstairs, breakfast was served in the room and there’s no table to eat at. However, even though I had to balance it in my lap it was an amazingly good breakfast.

Hotel is brand new, so are the rooms with full equipment; quiet place; good breakfast; staff is very friendly and helpful if you need something.

Good restaurants around, clean room, good but too big (for us) breakfast
