The room was really spacious and clean with a really nice bathroom that had obviously been recently updated. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the evening meal we had was amazing! It is easily the best meal we have eaten out for a number of years. Worth going back for the restaurant alone.

The price for the room stated that it includes breakfast which it did but it was literally just a pack up left outside the room. Couple of muffins, fruit and cereal bars. Just worth knowing as we assumed it was a cooked breakfast but we probably should have checked more carefully. No worries though, we would still go back but would know now when comparing hotel prices what the breakfast being included actually was.

Very spacious clean room and bathroom. Went above and beyond to supply balloons and banners in the room (thank you). Very friendly staff. Lovely evening meal and good value for money as the portions were huge.

The ‘breakfast’! So disappointing. The young girl who took us up to the room explained that a breakfast basket would be delivered in the morning and that it would contain fresh pastries, cakes and fruit. In our heads, we had envisioned a lovely little wicker basket with these items in — oh, how wrong we were. What arrived was a plastic basket (the type I use at home to store my cleaning products) containing 2 satsumas, which can only be described as small, poor-quality and visibly past their best. They were dry, tired-looking and far from fresh or appetising. There was also an apple, 2 prepackaged muffins and 1 Lion cereal bar. Absolutely nothing like what had been described to us. For a breakfast basket supposedly provided for two adults, it was completely inadequate. The quantity and choice were particularly poor for something described to us as a breakfast basket containing fresh pastries, cakes and fruit. It felt more like a handful of cheap packaged ‘snacks’ that had been rustled up in a panic rather than a breakfast basket we expected to be provided. This was particularly disappointing given how enjoyable the evening meal had been and how good the rest of our stay was. We would have rather have been told breakfast was not included rather than being explained what was to come and expecting it but being served this instead. So disappointing.
