The photos don’t do this property justice! It is a cozy cabin nestled in towering redwoods with the most pristine creek running behind it. We enjoyed jumping in a wonderful swimming hole just upstream and drinking our coffee on the shore each morning. The outside space has everything you need and while the inside is small it has everything that four people would require and the perfect amount of space. We also enjoyed the large windows where we could take in the soaring trees outside. We wished we could have stayed longer.Thank you to Joe for smooth communication and easy check-in and check out.

Magical location and grounds. Great place to "check out" from reality for a bit and enjoy nature & each other. Odd comment, but the variety of rocks at the creek is amazing (I didn't know I was such a rock-a-holic!). Perfect getaway! (Just the two of us this trip, but a friend had rented for a girls weekend awhile back & it worked great for friends as well.) Enjoy!

I was looking for a laid back getaway with our dogs. This property was exactly that! Loved having the secured fenced property where the dogs could roam while we relaxed by the fire-pit. I wish the path to the creek was not so challenging, but we still managed to get down there everyday. We were amazed at how clear the water was. We will definitely come back.

We just spent three blissful days at Little House on the Creek. The property is beautiful and not done justice by the photos. The yard features tall redwoods and apple trees, a fire pit, and lots of room to picnic or play. It is large and enclosed and great for a dog. The view of the creek from the deck is sublime, and we spent a lot of our time there having coffee or wine, reading ,etc. There is is zen feel to the whole thing that is delicious. The creek at this time of year is shallow and safe for anyone--human or animal. The gurgling sounds lull you to sleep at night. The house is very clean and well equipped. Everything you would want to cook (note: It would be nice if they supplied some coffee and condiments--we had to make an extra shopping trip for these.) or entertain yourself. The bed is comfortable and the walk in shower appreciated by us old folks. Lots of equipment for beach play. Note that the path to the creek is quite steep in spots and not suitable for some with mobility issues. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. On the other hand: Check out at 10am is outrageous, and puts a damper on a great vacation. We have rented VRBO homes all over the world for more than 20 years and have never heard of such a thing. There is no reason, especially since they don't let the next guest check in until 4pm. That said, we enjoy the place so much, we would love to stay again. Check-in/out policy needs to be fixed, however. Pronto.
