We welcome you to The Lodge on Walnut Ridge, a spacious luxurious cabin in Walnut Mountain where you will wake up to sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains and end your day with breathtaking sunset views from one of the three-decks. Our mountain cabin offers a hassle-free drive up on fully-paved roads with a gradual incline.
The most SPECIAL thing about The Lodge on Walnut Ridge - it is our family’s home and we want to share it with you. It is not a corporate property and we are local owners who want you to enjoy all that we treasure about this property. As our guests, we want you to feel as if it is your own treasure—because to us, it truly is! Since we love our home so much and frequently gather there with family and friends, we offer limited rental access throughout the year.
Our spacious luxury home in Walnut Mountain sleeps 12 and offers mountain views from all three scenic decks and a beautifully designed layout perfect for relaxing and reconnecting. Enjoy modern comforts including high-speed WiFi, and thoughtful amenities for every type of guest. With views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this home offers an unforgettable North Georgia getaway.
Whether you’re visiting for fall foliage, apple picking, cozy winter escapes, spring blooms, or summer hiking adventures, The Lodge on Walnut Ridge delivers the perfect year-round mountain experience. Our cabin offers plenty of space for family reunions, a multi-family vacation, girl’s or guy’s weekends or even a romantic get-away,
The great room is warm, open, and inviting with a stunning tongue-and-groove wooden ceiling, creating a true mountain-lodge feel. Relax on the oversized, ultra-comfortable couch, surrounded by natural light and endless views. Cozy up to a great book while enjoying a crackling fire. Get the entire family away from their devices and play one of the many family friendly games. Take in the glorious views from the screened in deck or the open deck just off the great room level.

The Master bedroom on the main floor features a king sized bed and the other 3 bedrooms feature comfortable queen-size beds with perfectly stocked linens for a restful night’s sleep.

• Thoughtfully inspired by the Appalachian Trail, reflecting a unique connection, our home in Ellijay sits near the beginning of the trail, while our family’s home in Maine rests at its end

The Florida Room (Upstairs)
• Queen bed
• Beautiful room with south-facing views
• Features a tongue-and-groove rounded wooden ceiling matching the main floor
• Inspired by where our journey began, Florida, and thoughtfully decorated with photographs of the Everglades and other iconic Florida scenery and artwork.
• A tribute to the place we started before retiring to the mountains of Georgia

• Faces north, offering both breathtaking sunrise and sunset views
• Decorated with Georgia-inspired photography and local touches, celebrating the beauty, culture, and charm of the region we now call home

3 1/2 Fully-stocked Bathrooms
We’ve taken the stress out of packing so you can truly relax:
• Fresh, plush towels
• Hair dryers
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste (in case you forgot your own)
• Body wash, shampoo & conditioner
All you need to do is throw some clothes and shoes into a bag and head on over. We’ve taken care of the rest.
Our Basement Level is spacious with an additional living area for movie watching, a fun game of pool, or relaxing on the covered deck listening to the sounds of nature.
Outdoor Living – Three Incredible Decks and a wrap around porch
• Screened-in deck – peaceful and relaxing and perfect for your morning coffee or a glass of wine. Be on the look-out for deer, as they are frequent visitors
• Open-air deck – ideal for soaking in full panoramic views, enjoy the gas fire pit, Adirondack chairs, Blackstone grill, and outdoor dining space overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains
• Covered deck – downstairs, just off the basement level downstairs with views that get you closer to nature
• Front porch – great place to relax on one of four rocking chairs and soak in the peaceful garden

We had a wonderful stay at The Lodge on Walnut Ridge! It was very clean and comfortable and easily accommodated all eight of us. The mountain views were stunning and peaceful. We were lucky to see a mama bear and her three cubs wander through the backyard, and we also spotted a family of five deer and we got some incredible photos. We slept in comfort with the windows open each night and fell asleep to the sounds of nature.The oversized couch in the great room was perfect for us to watch movies together, and the popcorn left for us was such a thoughtful touch! And thanks for the delicious bottle of wine you left for us too. One night, we grilled steaks on Blackstone and gathered around the fire pit after dinner. So relaxing! We loved your selection of books and games and Telestrations was a huge hit. Thanks for recommending The Butcher and Bottle - it was delicious. We can’t wait to come back!
