The summit is defined by the headwaters of the Barranco Guiniguada, Barranco de la Higuera and Barranco de la Mina ravines and, together with the fertile agricultural plains, forms a mosaic of different landscapes that define the municipality, which is also privileged - apart from its geographical situation - for its natural richness and fertility. The Barranco de la Mina ravine crosses the island of Gran Canaria towards the northeast and flows into the island's capital.
