For outdoor enthusiasts, Connel provides access to both the north and south sections of National Cycle Route 78, where breathtaking views of lochs, forests and castles await. The nearby Falls of Lora and Connel Bridge are also popular attractions for kayakers, divers, photographers and visitors alike. Despite the name, the Falls of Lora is not a waterfall, but a spectacular natural phenomenon created when the tides of the Firth of Lorn meet the fresh waters of Loch Etive, forming dramatic rapids.
