An Absolutely Stunning Tuscan Villa — We’re Already Planning Our Return! We were admittedly a little hesitant when we booked Villa Salice through Booking.com because there were no reviews yet. As it turns out, we were among the very first guests to stay at the villa — and what an incredible find it was! Villa Salice completely exceeded our expectations and gave our families the quintessential Tuscan experience we had hoped for. From the moment we booked, Andreas was incredibly responsive, helpful, and welcoming, answering our questions and making us feel confident about our stay. We were a group of eight traveling as two families, including young children, and the villa was absolutely perfect for us. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Stefano and Veronica, who could not have been warmer or more joyful. Despite the late hour, they took the time to welcome us, show us around the villa and property, introduce us to the wine cellar, and even tell us about some of the exciting additions planned for the future. Their enthusiasm for the property was infectious, and that hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. And then there is the villa itself — absolutely stunning. The five bedrooms are incredibly spacious, and each has a true king-size bed — not two twin beds pushed together, which is surprisingly difficult to find in Europe. One thing future guests should know is that the beds cannot be separated, and currently only the three upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning. Also, because this is an authentic Italian villa, sound travels! You may hear a cough, conversation, or occasional snore from the room next door. For us, it was a very minor trade-off for getting to stay somewhere with so much history, character, and charm. One of the unexpected highlights: the towels! They were enormous, luxurious, and wonderful. The pool towels might be the largest we have ever seen — one could practically cover two pool chairs side by side!
