Muckoroos is a beautiful little cottage and very well equipped, very clean and tidy. The location of the cottage to the beach and the high street is perfect, close to both. Good transport links to the surrounding areas. Overall very happy.

Bedroom window had to be propped open to stop it closing to let in fresh air and that's it really.

Excellent location right near the beach front. Super cute little cottage house. Very cosy, it had a homely feel. Easy to check in and out. Clean, hygienic and smelled nice. Fire heater is a nice touch.

The only thing I would complain about is the bedding. It was so thin the pillows and polyester sheets which made it super uncomfortable to sleep, the sheets made me and the other guest super hot at night. Also I wouldn’t recommend having carpet in the bedroom, it felt abit damp to walk on.. unsure if it was due to being recently cleaned? Other than those two things I loved the stay.

We thought it was a perfect cottage and had every comfort for a wonderful stay ☺️😃

* Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. * The kitchen was clean and well-equipped with most of the essentials. * A fan was provided in the bedroom, which was appreciated. * The garden was secure, making it suitable if you’re travelling with a dog. * The accommodation is in a quiet area with no noise issues. * Although parking is tight, we were able to park directly outside the property.

* The mattress was uncomfortable, you can feel the springs. Resulting in poor-quality sleep and partner sleeping on the sofa instead. * The property would benefit from some general maintenance and redecorating, including fresh paint (dirty walls, wires on show, damaged coffee table, thread bare cushions) * We found a few basic kitchen/bathroom essentials missing, including toilet roll, oven gloves, toaster and a tin opener. * The overgrown alleyway leading to the property could do with being cut back. This is your first impression and it’s poor. * The garden furniture was in poor condition. * The garden itself needs some attention – it was overgrown with weeds, needed sweeping, and there was an empty vodka bottle being used as decoration, which felt a little odd. It’s not a nice relaxing area to use. * A downstairs lamp would make the living area feel much more comfortable in the evenings. * The air freshener plug-ins were empty and left plugged in, which seems unnecessary and could be a potential fire hazard!! We also think these may have been the source of the unusual smell in the house. * The floorboards upstairs are loose, they move significantly when you step on them and the carpet has dipped. * The stairs are extremely steep. While there is a photo in the listing, they feel much steeper in person and the rope handrail doesn’t offer much support. A clearer warning would be helpful, particularly for anyone with mobility issues. * The bathroom would benefit from a shelf for toiletries.
