I cannot even begin to describe the experience we had in this apartment. The personable hosts gave us such a warm welcome and showed amazing attention to detail. The apartment was really an oasis: great a/c, large beautiful windows that let lots of light in and kept the apartment absolutely silent, and fabulous shutters that kept the bedroom dark. The decoration and furnishings were all very tasteful, modern and comfortable, the appliances were top-end (the a/c was just a slit in the ceiling), the mattress amazing, and there was great (mood) lighting. My only regret is that we did not stay longer – the apartment is well equipped for a long stay, and we absolutely fell in love with Lucca. This would be the perfect base for exploring the entire region, but even Lucca is so charming, you could just spend a week wandering through the streets, shopping at the markets and lounging in the park on top of the city walls. And the host had excellent suggestions for a few hidden gems for dinner and gelato. This was really my favorite stop on our whole trip through Tuscany. Grazie mille! We will be back
