Basecamp Hostel

Hi! This is Spring from the Philippines. I stayed at this hostel twice during my Chiang Mai trip from September 3 to 6 and again from September 12 to 15, 2026. The fact that I chose to return reflects how satisfied I was with my first stay. The hostel lived up to its high ratings on Booking.com and other platforms. When choosing a hostel, I have three non-negotiables: cleanliness, convenience, and customer service. This hostel met all three. The property was clean and comfortable, and the owner and staff were consistently friendly, accommodating, and willing to assist with reasonable requests. As someone who is quite particular about hostels, I can confidently recommend this place based on my own experience. There are a few practical details that prospective guests should consider. All bathrooms are located on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are on the second floor. The property also has no elevator. However, the owner and staff are happy to help carry your luggage if needed. Guests can enjoy complimentary bananas, tea, coffee, and drinking water. There is also an open common area on the second floor where you can relax, socialize, or work. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms operates daily from 5:00 PM until 11:00 AM the following day. Overall, I really enjoyed the hostel’s setup, cleanliness, atmosphere, and hospitality. It provided excellent value and a genuinely pleasant experience, which is why I stayed there again before leaving Chiang Mai. I would gladly recommend it to travelers who are comfortable with the bathroom arrangement and stairs.

Of all the hostels I’ve stayed in, this one is by far the best. I had an amazing week here ! The rooms and common areas are very clean and well equipped, with towels, lockers, air conditioning, and fans in the rooms. I especially loved the balcony, where I spent most of my time. Free coffee, tea, and fresh fruit are available all day, and there’s even a toaster. Most importantly, the owners and their daughters are absolutely wonderful, welcoming, always smiling, and incredibly accommodating. Ying is amazing too! I really enjoyed spending my mornings with her, i loved her company :) On my last day, Autchara even took me to the train station <3 Thank you all, i will definitely be back if I’m in the area again !

Ein wirklich sehr schönes neues Hostel in allerbester Lage. Restaurants und 7/11 direkt um die Ecke. Das Hostel wird von einer ganz tollen Familie geführt und man fühlt sich bestens aufgehoben 🙏 Es ist wie heimkommen. Ganz tolles Team 👍 es wird sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet und alles war wirklich penibel sauber, außergewöhnlich !! Ich kann das Hostel nur wärmstens empfehlen und werde auch auf jeden Fall wieder kommen zu diesem traumhaften Platz und der wundervollen Familie ❣️
