That's Why Nilaveli Beach Cabanas

The location is excellent—the property is situated by a charming beach, away from the crowds. It was wonderful to have dinner on the beach, illuminated by lights and a campfire. The cabins are small but equipped with all the essentials: comfortable beds, air conditioning, a fan, a small fridge, and a kettle for tea or coffee. The bathroom is modern and features a hot shower. Breakfast was very tasty, with a choice of several options. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks, though it is worth booking your meal in advance to avoid a long wait. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. We will certainly be back.

Sehr schön gelegene kleine Hütten. Direkt am ruhigen und wunderschönen Strand mit tollen Liegen und Schattenplätzen. Sehr liebes Personal, dass einem alle Wünsche erfüllt. Perfekte Unterkunft zum entspannen und um das Meer zu genießen.

We loved the vibe of the place directly on the beach and we were nearly sad when we had to leave. The cabanas are run by a group of young men who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The feel of the entire place is very relaxed. Nilaveli beach was quiet at this time of year which suited us perfectly. Our cabana was cosy; we very much enjoyed our 3 night stay. The food is good.

The menu is a little pricey, taking advantage of the isolated location. Without a mode of transport you cannot really go anywhere.

The location was perfect and the staff were amazing a nd went out of their way to help.

We stayed for 3 nights. The split system air conditioner was not working after the first night. It dripped onto the bed most of the night. Staff engaged a person to look at it and found it was full of ice and defrosted it. It was cool for a short time overnight the second night and then was not working again. Staff were not able to arrange for someone to fix the aircon and by that time of evening when we got back it was too late to arrange other accommodation. We would have done so if we were told the aircon had a major issue. So we had to spend the night with the door open as this was the only ventilation - it was far too hot otherwise. As two women in a foreign country this was a safety issue and we did not sleep. All night. We understand that things happen sometimes, but the most disappointing thing about the stay was management did not waive the last night - only offered a 15% discount on the room. It really wasn't fair. This is not what we paid for and should have been offered fair compensation for the hot and unsafe night we experienced. Management needs to address maintenance issues and not just focus on making money. Very disappointed and would not recommend this place.
