The Mountainbase Chalet is located at an elevation of 1,800 meters, just 100 meters from the valley ski run—right in the heart of the hiking, mountain biking, and road cycling area in Hochzillertal, Kaltenbach. In winter, the chalet is very easily accessible via the mountain railway station. Upon request, a Skidoo shuttle will deliver groceries and luggage from the mountain station directly to the front door, which is 300 meters away.
In summer, the two-story apartment is easily accessible via the Zillertal High Road. There is a parking space right outside the front door.
Both bedrooms and the bathroom/toilet are located on the upper level of the chalet. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the valley, the Hintertux Glacier, and the surrounding mountain huts.
On the first floor, there is a lawn with a south-facing terrace. Bicycles, skis, and luggage can be conveniently stored under the awning in the entryway. An electric vehicle charging station is available.
Paragliding is available on the Zillertal High Road at Melchboden.
For children, the Kaltenbach Ski Hut—located 150 meters away—features a varied playground with an old airplane and “Murmelland,” a small private zoo. There are 3 restaurants within 200 meters of the apartment. In summer, the beautiful Wedelhütte and Kristallhütte are easily accessible on foot or by mountain bike via forest trails at an elevation of 2,400 meters.
The spectacular Kristallhütte, featuring top DJs and many events in winter, is easily accessible via a few lifts. The best part: when all the other skiers have to head down at 4 p.m., you can stay up on the mountain longer and ski straight back to the chalet as the sun sets.
