Why we love it
Olhão is the Algarve’s cidade cubista — whitewashed rooftops, winding lanes, church bells and a real working-town feel. From the harbour you can take ferries to Armona, Culatra, Farol and Deserta, enjoy the fish markets, long lunches, sunset wine bars and café life all summer long.
Great for active days too: cycle stretches of the Ecovia do Litoral, kayak in the Ria Formosa, or head out for surf at nearby Ilha do Farol or Praia de Faro
