Old San Juan is not just a location it is an experience. The neighborhood is known for its colorful streets, Spanish colonial architecture, ocean views, historic forts, plazas, local restaurants, and vibrant nightlife. From the home, you can walk to many of the city’s top attractions, including the waterfront, Castillo San Cristóbal, El Morro, Plaza Colón, the cruise port, shopping streets, cafés, and some of the best bars and restaurants in San Juan.

Please note that many homes in Old San Juan are historic buildings, some over 100 to 300 years old. You may notice original details, older materials, antique flooring, unique textures, or natural age marks that are part of the character of these preserved homes. Some floors and finishes may show their age, but they are professionally cleaned and carefully maintained before every stay. Staying here means enjoying the real history, beauty, and soul of Puerto Rico not a modern hotel building.

Because Puerto Rico is a tropical island and Old San Juan is a coastal historic area, you may occasionally see mosquitoes or small tropical insects, especially if doors or windows are left open. We maintain and treat the home regularly, but this is a normal part of island life.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, central, and authentic Old San Juan stay with modern essentials and unbeatable walkability, Porto Bello is the perfect place to experience the best of Puerto Rico.
