The location and amenities were wonderful. The area was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There were comfortable lounge chairs by the beach, and the outdoor fire pits were a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy the sunset. The outdoor setting was definitely the highlight of our stay.

The sofa bed really needs to be repaired or replaced. It doesn't have enough support underneath, so an adult sinks through and your feet fall down. It might work for a child, but it wasn't suitable for an adult. The kitchen also needs to be better stocked. There was no salt or pepper, only two dishwasher pods, just three salad plates, no baking sheet, and no cutting board. If four people are staying for more than a couple of days, these basics would make a big difference.

Great location on the lakeshore with private access within the larger complex. Short drive to Heavenly gondola terminal. Opposite Wholefoods. The kitchenette was well enough equipped for us to be able to cook for ourselves.

The pictures in booking.com don’t necessarily match the apartment you will be given. We got an apartment facing the highway on the opposite side of the whole property from the lake. Be aware too that the apartment is privately owned but commercially managed. There is a reception but they can’t issue you with a room key or provide extra blankets if you need them (as we did). You’re pretty much on your own. Most disappointing of all was the bedding. The apartment says it sleeps four but the sofa is so old and worn out as to be unusable. The mattress is so thin the supporting struts stick straight into your side and back, and the springs that should hold the bed base straight have broken around the edge at the bottom, meaning that your legs drop to the floor just beyond your knees when you lie down. The only way we could get any rest was by sleeping on the floor, which is not what we thought we were paying $300 a night for. The bedding was also inadequate: some sheets and one very thin quilt. When I asked at reception for a second, they said they couldn’t help. Finally, the dishwasher is so old it makes a noise like a jet engine. You cannot have it on during the night.
