This is a fantastic Victorian hotel with a host of fascinating original features. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room (large double) was huge with the most fantastic view towards Countisbury Cliffs and across the Channel to Wales. Breakfast was available as it was a weekend and it was excellent - a wide choice and freshly prepared. Minor aspects of the room would benefit from updating but, considering the price paid, we considered this to be an excellent value stay and we hope to return before too long. Parking is limited to 5/6 spaces but there is on road parking nearby as well as a couple of car parks within an easy walk. The hotel is ideally placed for Lynton village centre and close to the Cliff Railway for a trip down to Lynmouth.
Nothing - as stated above, this hotel provides excellent value for money.

very nice breakfast. friendly staff. had some good chats. fab location.
car parking. id booked 2 weeks earlier. when we got to reception there was no record of the pre booking, which was annoying. however we managed to sort it at the front desk, but there is a bit of a communication issue with whoever takes the bookings. we were also disappointed that there was no evening meal option.
