Quiet location with wonderful views of estuary and woodland. Comfy double bed - seemed to be a coil sprung mattress with a topper. Good communications from hosts with prompt and detailed information. Provision of bottled water. Comfy sofa. Everywhere was clean on arrival.

I would have preferred thick, blackout bedroom curtains and also a blackout roller blind instead of the thin curtains that let light through. I have also suggested to the hosts that one of the single beds be replaced. I would have liked TV (I was already aware that there was no Wi-Fi available). I am guessing that the cost of a TV licence would put up the room fees. I would have preferred not to have had pot pourri and scent diffusers. I would have preferred not to have had a ticking clock in the living room.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It’s such a cosy little chalet and really does feel like a home from home. Everything was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into making it somewhere people can properly relax. One of the things we really loved was all the little touches — there are loads of books and games, which made it lovely to have a chilled evening in rather than feeling like you had to go out all the time. There’s no Wi-Fi, but we had really good 5G mobile coverage, so it wasn’t an issue for us at all. It’s just a really lovely, peaceful place to stay and exactly what we needed. We were sad to leave and would definitely come back. Highly recommend

What a little gem! A perfect little hideaway with all your home comforts! Even before we arrived, our hosts were sending relevant correspondence to inform and ease our stay. The chalet was spotless, comfortable and it was like stepping back in time. A bookshelf full of books, maps, binoculars to watch the wildlife outside the front windows and a cupboard full of board games - who needs a TV?
