The Space



The open-plan living room is bright and wide, with deep blue velvet sofas, a Smart TV and sliding glass doors onto the deck. The dining table seats the whole group, and board games and books are on the shelf for a wet afternoon.



The kitchen is set up for real cooking: a stainless steel gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, toaster, kettle, a Nespresso machine and the cooking basics. Bring home a bag from the Sunday Market and cook it here.



A split system heats and cools the house. Radiant heaters and ceiling fans cover the cold mornings and warm afternoons. It is a single-level home with a private entrance, a smart lock and self check-in, so arrival suits your timetable.



Sleeping Arrangements



The main bedroom has a king bed, an electric fireplace and sliding doors onto the deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed. A sofa bed in the living room suits one adult or two children, for six guests in all. Black-out blinds, extra pillows and blankets, hair dryer, iron and fresh linen are supplied, with a washing machine and dryer in the house.



Work and Connectivity



Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace mean a Friday of video calls can come before the weekend. Long stays are welcome, and the laundry and full kitchen make a week or a month easy.



Pool, Spa and Garden



The back of the house is the reason to book. A private deck looks straight down onto the pool and the outdoor spa, both for your group only. Lake Daylesford is ringed by the 2.8 km Peace Mile Walk, with The Boathouse Restaurant on the water and Lake House on the far shore. Jubilee Lake has boat hire and trout. Up the hill, Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens has a lookout tower, and the Convent Gallery holds seven galleries next door.



Hepburn Springs is minutes away. Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa has offered mineral bathing since 1895, and the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve has pumps to fill your own bottle. Catch a show at the Hepburn Palais or a round at Hepburn Springs Golf Club.



On Sundays, the Daylesford Sunday Market fills the station grounds and the Daylesford Spa Country Railway runs to Musk and Bullarto. Sault at Sailors Falls is a five-minute drive, Passing Clouds winery about seven, and Lavandula at Shepherds Flat about ten. Istra Smallgoods and Daylesford Cider make a tasting loop through Musk.



Walkers can follow Sailors Creek from Tipperary Springs, or circle the crater rim at Mount Franklin in Hepburn Regional Park. Creswick is about 20 minutes away, and Piper Street in Kyneton about 40.
