Brasenose College, Frewin Campus

The location was exceptional for Oxford tourists, and of course for the students. Everything seemed just steps away. The location and room were very secure with multiple card swipe required to access the room. The room itself was modern, but the wood paneling and decor gave it some warmth. At night it was very quiet, even with the St. Giles fair going on, it was a dull roar. Staying here really felt like being at the centre of things.

It was a little difficult to navigate to the front desk some blocks away. Of course, you have to ring the buzzer to get into the quad unless you were a student with a pre-issued key. The bed could have been better. But if I wanted a plush bedroom, and not an academic, engaged experience, I would have stayed elsewhere. As I wrote, modern accommodations, all plumbing, lighting, new bathroom fixtures, all great, all for a very reasonable price. I added a photo of the front desk location. If you book, they send you directions to the room.

Central to the town centre and amenities without the need for public transport.

No hangers in the wardrobe No shower shelf to place shower gel etc when showering

Location was fantastic, being just 15/20 mins walk away from the Mathematical Institute where my conference was being held, and a minute's walk away from Westgate, the modern shopping centre. It was very quiet despite the fantastic location and felt very secure. The key pickup location was convenient and friendly and helpful staff. Wifi was great. Clean linen and towels with enough storage, blackout curtains and hot shower/toiletries provided too.
