A proposito di questa appartamento struttura in affitto
Small but mighty. The Nook is a cozy Wrigleyville studio on Addison Street with green ceilings, soft light, and just enough charm to feel intentional.
Steps from Wrigley Field, the train, and everything on Southport, it’s the perfect Chicago hideaway for anyone who wants the ballpark energy to be right outside the door.
The Space:
10 takeaways for people who don’t have the patience to read my ramblings (but still deserve a very nice place to stay)
• Entire studio flat apartment in Wrigleyville, on Chicago’s North Side
• Sleeps 2 (Queen bed)
• Full kitchen + fast Wi-Fi
• Efficient kitchen and comfortable seating
• Tub/shower with (occasionally moody but mostly good) water pressure
• Professionally cleaned by people who care deeply and would benefit from other hobbies
•5-minute walk to Wrigley, 5-minute stroll to the Brown Line
• Ground floor unit in a vintage building (six steps down)
• Hosted by a creative human, managed by professionals who actually pick up the phone
• 24/7 phone support after booking
You'll also find soft, nice sheets (not the nylon nightmares other hosts offer up), comfy pillows and a good-quality mattress, thick towels, and Public Goods bath products. I keep you stocked with coffee and a few small extras to make mornings feel less like punishment.
I’ve got a professional team handling cleaning and logistics, while I get to do the part I actually enjoy: sharing the apartment, giving local recommendations, and generally having opinions about what you should do while you’re in Chicago.
In the same building, I also run three other apartments, each with its own personality. If you’re curious, look for the other terrible puns . . . The Burrow, The Fratterhorn, and Feelin’ Blue-tiful.
I wouldn’t list a space I wouldn’t stay in myself, so I like to point out every quirk! (Clear expectations make for great stays.)
There are six steps down to get to the apartment, so it’s not great for guests with limited mobility.
And yes, it's the ground floor of a 120-year-old building, so you occasionally hear neighbors coming and going from the front door and might encounter a radiator that is passionate and not afraid to express itself. You also have Addison street directly outside the windows, which is awesome and brings the hustle of the city into the space.
But also: you'll sleep well here. It’s comfy. And the art above the sofa will remind you that you're an aesthetic person.
This is a vintage Chicago apartment with the architecture to prove it: even though it started out in 1920 as the managers office, the layout is gracious, the hallway has a good attitude, and yes, you may spot the occasional rogue cobweb despite my excellent cleaning team. But if you’re into character, comfort, and staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like an abused IKEA showroom... welcome home.
Location:
The flat is in Wrigleyville (part of the Lakeview Neighborhood), a peaceful, tree-lined neighborhood with its own vibe. You’re tucked into a quiet pocket of the city just a few blocks from Clark Street, where things get lively fast. Walk ten minutes and you’re on the Brown Line train (a super scenic trip that takes you straight into the heart of the city) or about same walk to the Red Line train (a subway that will get you downtown in about 20 minutes)....hop the Clark bus and you’ll be down in Lincoln Park or up in Andersonville before your phone finishes loading the weather.
Wrigley Field really is a 5-minute walk away. Cubs game nights bring extra energy and temporary parking drama...more on that in the parking info below.
This is also a great spot for longer stays or remote work thanks to quiet surroundings and easy North Side transit. Lakeview is considered one of the best-connected North Side neighborhoods for exploring Chicago without a car.
Exclusive perks:
Guests staying under 14 days get access to The Metropolitan Club, a members-only co-working and dining space on the 66th and 67th floors of the Willis Tower. Yes, it’s fancy. Yes, the view is outrageous. Yes, you can take your laptop and pretend to be someone who owns a watch that ticks.
Design notes:
The foundation for this space started with a chrome-yellow painting by Chicago artist Mariano Chavez. From there, I grounded everything with an updated plaid sofa and gave the bed its rightful spotlight by flanking it with vintage brutalist steel side tables.
The green ceiling was chosen by my friend Sheryl—an idea I openly hated at first and have since accepted as genuinely inspired. To date, at least two people have mentioned writing down the paint colors from the can lid labels, which Sheryl finds completely flattering.
Guest Access:
You’ve got the entire flat to yourself. I promise you won’t somehow find your host staring into the refrigerator at 2 am.
If you’re a smoker, please head off-property. Outside the door int he lobby or in the courtyard garden still counts as “on property,” so plan accordingly.
Vaping indoors and fun things from our local dispensary also count as “no.”
(And no, that one clove cigarette you brought back from Berlin doesn’t get a pass.)
Other Things to Note:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: “How do I get to ‘x’ from the apartment?/How far is the apartment from ‘x’?”
A: Excellent public transit directions from my flat to any point in the city are available via web search. We're a short walk from the Southport “L” train station. Search for “Southport brown line stop Chicago” in Maps, click the “Directions” button, then enter your point of interest.
Q: When is check-in/check-out?
A: Check-in: Your reservation and access to the apartment both begin at 4 p.m. on your check-in date.
Check-out: Your reservation and access to the apartment both end at 11 a.m. on your check-out date.
Q: “Is there parking nearby?”
A: Parking isn't included and the streets around us are all either permitted (local residents only) or metered, so make sure not to use those spots. When parking, be sure to check all signs nearby because it's easy to get a ticket when parking rules are broken. For the easiest parking, we highly recommend using a service called SpotHero to reserve a spot nearby before you arrive.
Q: “Does the unit have air conditioning/heating?”
A: Radiant heat is supplied to the unit by the building and is turned off and on by the building engineers. Window air conditioners will be installed starting mid-May.
