Niagara Historic Inn

For my visit to the Erie Canal Locks, this location was perfect. No one was there to check in although the self check-in was very smooth. Rooms are all on 2nd floor. Bathroom was small but adequate and all plumbing worked fine. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. This is a old home that has been turned into a kind of B&B. The downstairs was furnished with vintage chairs, couches, tables and other items. A nice look. I could not enjoy the breakfast because my goals were to leave early in the AM to see Niagra Falls.

If you don't like historic (old) homes, this is not for you. The floors are a bit creaky and there is not an abundance of electrical outlets - adequate - not abundant. I was unable to reach the owners by either of the phone numbers provided in the self-check-in materials to let them know I'd arrived. I would recommend this only to those who appreciate and enjoy old historic homes,

Lack of appropriate outlets for medical devices and electronic devices

Such a charming, well-loved little bed and breakfast! Filled with antiques, but everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but delicious—homemade banana nut muffins, cinnamon raisin French toast, and fresh fruit. Loved being able to choose our breakfast time, too! Overall, a cozy, comfortable stay with lots of character. Would definitely return!

Check-in was a little rocky when our envelope ended up in the wrong mailbox, but a quick call to the owner got us sorted out. Outlets were limited, the floors were noticeably uneven (you felt tipsy without having a drink!), and some of the wallpaper could use a little TLC. Our biggest concern was an adjoining sitting room with access to another part of the house through a door that wouldn’t lock. We ended up putting things in front of it for peace of mind while sleeping. Nothing that completely ruined our stay, but definitely a few quirks worth mentioning. Lots of charm and character, just a few areas that could use some attention!

Location was good. True bed and breakfast, had a nice french toast in the morning. Some neat furnishings in the common area.

It's an old home converted into a bed and breakfast. Uneven floors, doors that don't close well, narrow staircase. Our door allowed too much light from the hallway into our room.
