The location was perfect for us; rural, serene, with views up to the fells and a beautiful garden to use. We could walk directly from the cottage up onto the fells, around Ennerdale or into the village. The coast is nearby and access to other Lake District fells and towns was easily achieved. The cottage itself was spotless and immaculate. The garden; full of roses, a red squirrel to watch and beautifully tended. Dot and Rob could not have been more accommodating to us and have thought of everything needed for a luxurious and relaxing holiday. Their love of their home and the Lakes permeates throughout the cottage. Thank you Dot and Rob, you made our week’s holiday very special. We heartily recommend Grike Cottage for those wishing for peace, quiet and restoration.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about Grike Cottage.
